My Philosophy

It doesn't take a village...

It doesn't take a village to teach a child; it takes much more. It takes the right approach, timing, physical environment, people, mindset, etc. The way that I work with my clients is building a program built just for them. I do not follow the same route curriculum as some others might recommend. I search for a student's likes/dislikes, hobbies, strengths, and areas in need of improvement before introducing a cohesive plan of attack. How a person learns information can be just as important as the information, itself. I break down the barriers by making my sessions ones that students don't see as a "chore," (like school) but rather as really engaging (like summer camp). Most of my clients tend to find that my focus on how they learn allows them to shine--I don't teach them how to shine, just where to focus the light.
